Ficus Benjamina, commonly known as weeping fig

Posted by Malcolm Hudson on

I thought I would share with you my new baby, this beautiful wind swept looking ficus. I began with seven cutting however only one took. I have planted my baby in an italian made coned shaped italian terracotta pot. For some reason I am partial to these conned shaped terracotta pots. I have placed the little ficus on a southwest facing window. Here’s hoping she enjoys her view. I sure hope she thrives.

Beside the baby ficus is a picture I cherish of my beautiful Zoey. Zoey was a red and white Basenji who stole my heart the second we met. He now waits patiently by the rainbow bridge, waiting for our reunion. In the mean time his picture adorned in a handmade wooden frame of daisy painted in 24 carrot gold reminds me of his idiosyncratic character.
